Step-by-Step Instructions:

1. Take your 60” cord and fold and cut it in half. You should have 2 pieces that are each 30” long.

2. Lightly melt the ends of both cords with your lighter to help thread your beads on.

3. Start threading your beads onto one of your cords in the following order: 19mm Round, 17mm Hex, 19mm Round, 15mm Round, 19mm Round, 15mm Round, 19mm Round, 17mm Hex. Make sure not to put the last 19mm Round bead on. Adjust the beads until they are sitting in the middle of the cord.

4. Take your other cord and make a loop that is about 5” from one of the ends.

5. We are now going to tie a Larks Head Knot into the cord that has your beads on it. Place the loop behind the cord, right above the 19mm Round bead on the one end.

6. Bring your ends over the cord and through the loop - pulling the ends so it is nice and tight.

7. Take that same cord, and both strands together, tie a knot as close as you can to the larks head knot.

8. Trim the shorter cord, and lightly melt both the ends of the freshly cut cord and the knot. Make sure everything is nicely fused. This will now be your working cord.

9. Once cooled, thread the cord onto your needle.

10. Insert the needle into your first 19mm Round bead, and pull the knot through to the middle of that bead. The knot is a larger knot, but with enough force it will go into the bead. We suggest using your Silicone Thimbles for extra grip! Your knot should be well secured and hidden in the middle of your bead.

17. You should now have 2 cords coming out of the top of your hexagon bead.

18. You are now going to tie a series of tight knots. The first knot may sink into the hexagon bead and that’s ok!

19. Keep tying knots until you have a chain of knots that is about 1/4” long. We tied 4 knots to get to this length.

21. String on your last 19mm Round Bead, and slide it over the chain of knots we just created. Push it tightly up against the hexagon bead. The knots are going to help keep your last 19mm Round Bead in place.

22. Trim the shortest of the two cords just above your last bead. Lightly melt the end you snipped so it won’t fray.

23. Put one end of your breakaway clasp onto one cord, and tie a double knot at your desired length. Compare both strands to ensure your knots will be tied at equal distances from your necklace beads.

26. Repeat steps 23-25 with the remaining cord and breakaway clasp. If your necklace strands are longer on one side than the other, you can always re-tie your knot and adjust the length of your necklace.
