1 Wood Play Gym - 3 Incredible Styles!

We wanted to do something fun on the blog and show you just how versatile play gym accessories can be. We’ve taken the same play gym and styled it three different ways! Our goal was to include as many products as we could: rings, beads, string, pendants, clips - it’s all here!

First, we painted the play gym legs about 5” up from the bottom in a beautiful ivory color. It was so simple to paint (with a little green painter's tape for nice clean edges), and we love how it turned out. Now to accessorize...

MONOCHROME SCHEME

Everyone loves an adorable gender neutral scheme (especially expecting mamas who want to get your nursery ready, but don’t want to find out what you’re having!). We wanted to try our hand at something less colorful, but with more textures! We used a variety of ring sizes, and mixed up our hanging beads so that they weren’t as uniform.

If your eye spies what we’ve used again (and if you’ve been following us for awhile you'll definitely see it!), you’ll notice that our Wood Ring and Crochet Teether - tutorial here, was used for the main hanging pendant on this play gym!

We chose to sew our play mat in a hexagon-ish shape (don’t measure or look too close, haha), and we are loving the total result! Check out the image below for a few of the products we used!

FOREST THEME

Earthy & Adorable. Who doesn’t love a cute forest theme! We saw some beautiful shaped play mats on Pinterest, and we knew we had to try to sew one of them. After a few trial and errors, we settled on this cuuuute leaf.

We kept the beads mixed and varied in shape so that our little 1.75” wood rings could hang suspended on the two outside hanging toys. What do you think about this style? We even had enough scrap fabric to make a small hanging leaf toy!

Just the cutest combination of olive, grey, marble & wood. Sometimes when schemes like this come together, they’re surprising...and we love how fresh this design feels. Check out the chart below for some of the products we used to make this Forest Theme happen:

FLOWER THEME

How. Stinkin. Cute.(!!!) We couldn’t help ourselves when we saw this adorable play mat pattern at our local fabric store. Paired with some little black pom pom fringe?? We’re in love.

Kelly-Ann had the best lightbulb moment and decided to turn our stroller clips UPSIDEDOWN to fix the clips to the dowel with black ribbon.

We are soooo loving this soft pink, starburst & chateau rose ombre color pattern. Simplicity and elegance. Check out some of the products used in the image below:

There you have it! One play gym, three different ways! :)
